    Hi Scott,

To add additional marts, you need an additional machine and an additional database.  Simply download the Mart Server software to the new machine and install it.  Point it to the new database and initialize it and you are done.  Then give those users who have access the data to connect to the other Mart Server host machine. You can have as many Mart Servers as you wish because erwin, Inc. charges you by the erwin client, not by the Mart Servers.

    Regards,

    Matt

Yes, I would like the same as when you allocate permissions at the Highest Mart level the rest of the Catalogs are controlled and managed by the ,art permissions - thus having several marts at the highest level would resolve the problem.

Johann I am putting in an enhancement request for the ability to hide catalogs/libraries from certain users.  Right now if you give a user permission to view any library they can see the "folder structure" of all the libraries within a mart.  We want this to be more granular.  Users should only be able to see the libraries/catalogs we want them to.  Would this be something you would also find useful?

I found this enhancement request that is related to the workgroup's need for more granular permissions

I am not sure if I understood what you want to achieve. But have you considered to use the LDAP groups in Mart Permissions to allocate persons to an LDAP group and then you might not need to create multiple marts. You can create Mart Libraries and catalogues as you require. The only aspect is that you then need to add the BU Administrators to the second levels of the mart catalogues e.g

    Mart – Level 0

            Catalogue Level 01 - A  - Admin Permission - LDAP Admin Group

Repository library 001-A - LDAP Groups users - e.g. Modellers, Arch etc

Repository library 002-A - LDAP Groups users - e.g. Modellers, Arch, etc

Repository library 003-A - LDAP Groups users - e.g. Modellers, Arch, etc

           Catalogue Level 01 - B - Admin Permission - LDAP Admin Group

Repository library 001-B - LDAP Groups users - e.g. Modellers, etc.

Repository library 002-B - LDAP Groups users -  e.g. Modellers, Arch, etc

Repository library 002-B1 - LDAP Groups users -  e.g. Modellers, Arch, etc

Repository library 003-B - LDAP Groups users -  e.g. Modellers, Arch, etc
