How to activate and deactivate offline certificates

When you want to manage your certificates on your own, you can follow the steps below.  If you have any problems, you will need to engage erwin Customer Support for assistance.

Steps:

Create the offline activation in the erwin Data Modeler window. Please reference : 

License guide

Press the button "Copy to Clipboard" and go to this Activation link:

Paste the offline code in the box and select "Activate". Please make sure you do not copy any extra Ascii characters or spaces as this will result in errors.

An "Activation successful" message will be returned if complete properly. You can paste this code into the license window and select import. If you get an error you will need to open a support ticket with erwin Customer Support to troubleshoot further.

If you need to return the license to replace a device you can go to Help-> Licensing->Deactivation 

Select "Generate"

"Copy to Clipboard"

Paste the deactivation code into the window below.

If it was returned you will receive a successful message.
