How will my erwin Data Modeler concurrent license work?
The erwin Data Modeler concurrent license will be a single 18-digit license key code based on the Edition (Workgroup, Standard, or Navigator edition) of license you are entitled to. For example, if you licensed 10 users for Workgroup Edition and 5 users for Navigator Edition, you will receive one key for Workgroup and another key for Navigator, to be shared among the total number of licensed users.
- You have the option to connect online directly or use your network proxy settings to communicate with the license server at IP address: 184.108.40.206 (my.nalpeiron.com) and port 443. HTTP Secure (HTTPS) communications (via port 443) with the License/Activation server.
- Note: For Data Modeler release 9.8, port 80 should be open (not port 443).
Many of our users experience SOAP errors. These errors mean your connection does not meet the network requirements described above.
To test connectivity to the license server, try to ping and telnet to the license server via the command prompt using the below:
- ping 220.127.116.11
- telnet 18.104.22.168 443
- ***Assuming you have the telnet utility installed. If not, check with your helpdesk. If either or both fail, then we know this is a network issue and you will need your network team to assist.
Where do I enter my Proxy settings?
The license screen below shows the license window options that you need to select. Reach out to your helpdesk and request the proxy server address and port. Under Network, on the Proxy tab, set your proxy server's parameters (server IP address/server web address and port number, and the credentials if required).
