Pictures could get corrupted in versions prior to CM2013 when they were quite complex graphics (shadows or lots of different colours) and exported using CMXML (the Import/Export CM XML – not the Com4Word one-as part of a model or diagram export). CM XML was not encoding the pictures correctly so when they were imported the wrong coding would corrupt them.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open corporate modeler
- Click on model explorer
- Import model
- Click on Gallery
5.Select your model
6.Corrupted image and error “parameter is not valid”.
NOTE: Images will not display at all in the gallery or would display with fuzzy lines or black blocks. At best you could carry on using the picture, at worse it would be blocked (Import/export or CP).
What you need to do: Identify the corrupt images in the gallery and replace them with another one before publishing or exporting. After replacing corrupted images you will no longer get error “Parameter is not valid”.
