Description:
We recently discovered that deleted versions were not always visible to the database maintenance script to get fully purged out of the database (which unfortunately took a lot more database space than needed).
Solution:
It has been addressed and can be remedied as follows. This fix should be installed just like any previous cumulative patch. It will upgrade the database when starting the server. Once installed correctly, the regularly scheduled database maintenance script will automatically take care of purging these deleted versions from the database. Consequently, the next database maintenance script may take longer to catch up (and it may take several runs), but at the end, your database space will be optimized, and may even get much smaller in some cases (depending on your harvesting schedule and version delete process).
