While creating some model source in erwin models, after harvested them into WP, I can't see the Semantic lineage or Semantic Mapping as below, why?
Based on the screen shot above, that is a display in Architecture Diagram after Semantic Mapping within Configuration. This is all done within WP and any model source linked in the erwin models will not be able to imported. You have to manually create those semantic mapping in WP.
In order to create Semantic Mapping to do the Trace Semantic Usage, you can do it as below:
1. Harvesting the models into WP, as example, import ConcepturalOrderEntry and LogicalOrderEntry into WP
2. Creating a Semantic Mapping and assume using those two models below:
Mapping Source: ConcepturalOrderEntry
Mapping Destination: LogicalOrderEntry
a) Highlight "Repository" on left Panel and right click mouse to select New / Semantic Mapping
b) Open new created Semantic Mapping and drag and drop the model ConcepturalOrderEntry on the Source window
c) Drag and drop the model LogicalOrderEntry on Destination window.
d) Expand Tables - Entities
e) Make links between tables, eg. dragging the table "Customer" from left window to corresponding table on the right site and dragging the table "Invoice" from left window to corresponding table on the right site...
3. Create a Semantic Mapping Configuration
a) Highlight Repository / New / Configuration
b) Drag the two models below into the configuration
ConcepturalOrderEntry
LogicalOrderEntry
c) drag the Semantic Mapping into this configuration
4. Click Architecture Diagram Tab, you will see the displayed on the Web Portal by the blue dotted line related to Semantic Mapping:
