Does erwin DM support the JSON Datatype in MySQL?

Description:

I am using erwin DM 2020 R2.  Does erwin DM support the JSON Datatype in MySQL?

Solution:

The JSON datatype in MySQL was introduced in MySQL 5.7 and erwin DM currently does not support it. It is targeted for future releases.  However, in the interim, you can use Data Type Mapping Standards to add any data type you would like to, including the JSON.  This solution can be used for any supported target database for any unsupported datatype.
