when using ERwin Web Portal harvesting erwin mart models, I get below error:
Error [2017-01-25 14:29:40] The process 'C:\Windows\System32\cscript.exe' failed with return code 1.

Running mart script as user: SYSTEM
Could not connect to the mart. Model Directories Component ! Mart connection failed.
01/25 14:29:40 WARNING: The client application version is different from the Mart Server version. Install the same version of the application and the Mart Server and then try.
Error [2017-01-25 14:29:40] [MBI_ER9MM_F0006] Could not connect to the mart.
The error shows there maybe incompatible version of ERWin client and Mart server or ERwin Web Portal server has a disconnection to call right version of erwin API
a) on the same machine where WP is installed, erwin can connect to Mart without any errors ( if can't, fix that part first)
NOTE: make sure you have a local erwin workgroup license instead of concurrent erwin workgroup license to connect erwin to mart
b) If a) is successful, try below:
Stop ERwin web portal service from control panel
Go to Web portal installation directory, and run RestartServerApplication.bat file
( leave command windows open till get Catalina server startup --> this is run Tomcat standalone instead of windows service)
Go back to Web Portal try harvest again,
if successful, you can close the command windows and restart the service again
* NOTE: A service account user to run the Web Portal is recommended to make sure user has the credential to full access erwinAPI. ERwin API license is needed if you do not have an ERwin workgroup License
In case above steps do not resolve the error, Please turn on debug logs level by going to Web Portal installation directory:
Open conf.properties file
save close and harvest again, Please submit a case and send log file http://erwinhelp.zendesk.com
NOTE: in one user's case rebooting the web portal host machine allowed web portal to then connect to the mart server.
