Description: Can I manage more than one database per Mart Server (web server)? Can I have multiple r9 marts on the same Oracle instance (database)? Can I have multiple marts on the same one SQL Server or Sybase database?
Solution:
- One mart server is required for each mart. If you install an additional mart, you will need to install an additional mart server for that new mart.
NOTE: You cannot run two or more mart servers on the same machine. A new mart server will also require an additional machine, either physical or virtual.
- You can have multiple marts on the same Oracle DBMS server. You can have one mart per Oracle instance, or, since the release of version r9.x and later versions, you can create a mart on a different schema in the same one Oracle instance.
- You can have multiple marts on the same SQL Server server. The key is one mart per SQL Server database. You can not have multiple r9 marts in the same one SQL Server database.
- You can have multiple marts on the same Sybase server. The key is one mart per Sybase database. You can not have multiple r9 marts in the same one Sybase database.
